John Majeski

CTO

John Majeski is a forward-thinking executive who thrives at the intersection of innovation, operational excellence, and leadership. With roots in both startups and Fortune 100 environments, John has led organizations through key inflection points—scaling growth, driving transformation, and navigating successful exits. He held senior GM-level roles at HP, Dell, and Lenovo, where he managed corporate venture capital, M&A, and post-acquisition integration. In these roles, he carried full P&L responsibility across sales, marketing, operations, product, and engineering.

John is an angel investor and later founded Portola Valley Partners, a firm operating at the nexus of private equity and venture capital. Through a unique venture studio model, the firm provided early-stage companies with both capital and hands-on support in the areas needed most.

He is also an Operating Partner at North Beach Investments and a General Partner at the Silicon Valley Women Founders Fund—one of the few men in venture to establish a fund solely focused on women-led technology startups.

Through his investments and interim leadership, board, and advisory roles, John brings deep expertise in technology, logistics, GTM strategy, and AI. His strategic acumen is matched by a pragmatic ability to build resilient teams, foster innovation, and drive results in both asset-light startups and complex operating environments.

A dedicated advocate for high-potential founders, John is equally passionate about mindfulness, neuroscience, and big-picture thinking—exploring the intersection of technology and human potential to drive meaningful, systems-level change across industries and institutions. Known for his thoughtful insights and collaborative approach, John regularly engages on topics including leadership, company culture, growth, community, exit planning, and the evolving role of technology in shaping the future.
